CURSES! FOILED AGAIN!

i suspect we'll be hearing lots of that in the future from those three and boss wolf...well, maybe not - they don't seem that cheesy

also...HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Ah... good.... the play on words didn't get lost. :) Yeah, the sentiment will be there even if the actual words are not. At least for the three CoyWolves. And happy new year to you and all! This month has Wolverton going into its 4th year! Thanks to all my readers - both casual and committed.

honestly, sometimes i think i should be committed - i frequently do and get into all manner of crazy things

wait...you probably mean the other kind of committed, huh?

Ha. :) I wanted the alliteration. ;)

oh, i just noticed the moon in the first panel...i think you're the first person i've seen who actually draws luna with its myriad craters instead of just drawing a smooth, glowing white orb like others do

also, how long have they been there? i figure maybe a half-hour at best, not counting the time the early-arrivals spent waiting for darkfang

To be honest, the moon is clip art. I used it during the werewolf drawing resurgence that spawned Wolverton. Since I will be incorporating all those scenes into the comic, I decided to have it remain the same on the actual pages. Also, I'd grown rather fond of it. The rest of the comic is drawn by me unless it's a poster or photo, for instance.

That's a good estimate, yeah. I'm trying to compact it to the essentials of their conversation, so as to keep it moving along while conveying time passing. A task which is, as Madge says, "Tricky." Thanks for affirming that I've apparently struck the correct balance. :)

it looks like it fits the art style of the rest of the page - did it come like that already or did you have to do some touching up/run it through any filters to make it like that?

actually...what program do you use to draw the comic and miscellaneous pages? texture creators/editors like photoshop or GIMP, or something more suited to digital drawing (that i've probably never heard of)?

Perhaps that's why I liked it - it fit my aesthetic. :) All I've done is change the color (for the New Moon), clip it as per the phase and maybe give it a little glow.

I draw a good amount on paper and then scan it in, clean it up and manipulate it along with a little digital drawing, all done in Photoshop. Obviously I use the various filters as well.

so, next question that i thought of while watching a video on youtube...what does wolverton have in terms of sports besides billiards? like, do they have a bowling alley, baseball/football/soccer stadium, tennis/badminton court, hockey rink...whatever the thing you play squash in is called, etc.?
PeterVonBrown 7th Jan 2020, 11:49 AM edit delete reply

I've not thought about it at all since I'm not a sports guy at all. They probably have a bowling alley which would be in Watuma hood, but then, I tend not to think too much of bowling. They certainly don't have any sports teams or anything like that. If there is a stadium or rink or court or the sort, it's not going to be depicted as per my first sentence, and because there's too much else I need to get in the comic beforepaw.

i know the feeling; i'm not a fan of sports either; i find them pawsitively boring - pardon the pun
