what's up with floyd in the first panel? not that his bleping isn't adorable, but...why is he doing it?

Because he finds the guys in LG attractive. Especially Howland.

Ha! :) Well, in this case he IS just being obnoxious. None of LG are gay. Don't forget he's got Jon as a potential boyfriend.

or just a friend with benefits

which would actually be my personal preference - romance works for some people, but i'm a 'woof woof, thank you, man' kind of wolf

Ohhhh.... Floyd's not looking for a friend with benefits. He's not that kind of guy (or 'wolf). He wants a true, loving relationship.

Normally i would say that i am with Floyd on this..
there is only the slight Problem that a good bunch of loving Relationships tend to involve into ones with "no Benefits" or seldom at that.

So i understand LLs Point here ^^

But Good luck to Floyd.may the wolf find what he is Hunting for.

so, i was going to ask this question on the next page, but it's a bit more germane to the contents of this page, therefore...

floyd is obviously gay, but are there any wolves who are lesbian or bisexual? or, for that matter, any who are non-binary, genderfluid, asexual, transgender, etc.?

hell, is a trans wolf even possible, or would the lycanthropic condition complicate the methods needed to transition from m->f or f->m?

and if any of these exist, will we be seeing any of them eventually, or have we already seen some?

There are most definitely lesbian or bi 'wolves. Simply from necessity/law of averages. However no character has been conceived of as of yet.

Regarding the trans or 'fluid' (etc.) question, again, it certainly must be so. But the same case applies here as well. I separated it from above because technically the whole concept of the comic serves as metaphor for such a thing. No, it hadn't been the main goal or intended. It's just a natural way of interpreting it, though.

As for whether or not lycanthropy would hinder the M->F or F->M transition or possibility - well, I'm not really sure. And I'd rather chalk it up to "it's probably never going to come up and I have other eggs to crack".
