Not sure I'd wanna smoke a sub-variant that tastes - or smells - like chicken chow when I'm not a chicken.

Just to be clear, it's a joke on 'Chicken Chow Mein'

I already have that reference in the comic. ;)

I know but, this being Wolverton, I can imagine these sorts of references pop up more than once! :-P

Outside of something coming up again (such as them being at Kessler Pavilion), I try not to reuse references since there are so many out there. :)

*nods* Sorry, what I mean is that within the world these sorts of references are liable to pop up over and over. This differs from within comic which is what you show us. Does this make sense?

Chicken Chow Bane isn't a stranger name than some of the "bane" in my local stores!

Were I a werewolf, my choice would be Scott Howard's Private Reserve.

Wouldn't it be Styles's? ;)

Why does this sound like a Teen Wolf reference?
PeterVonBrown 28th Oct 2021, 4:48 AM edit delete reply
PeterVonBrown
Because it is. Scott Howard is the name of the Teen Wolf in the original, i.e. the film. (As I've stated before, I only acknowledge season one of the TV series.)

Pertinent to our interests, part 1 of the Killer Origins of the Werewolf. Contains scenes that may be inappropriate for younger audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.*

*I mean that seriously. It's fascinating PBS documentary on werewolves, but it also has drawings and scenes that would probably not be good for young kids to see or might cause issues with people who are sensitive to violence.

Yes! I've seen that already. It's quite good. I had been disappointed that there's (currently) no part 2. :D Thanks for putting it out for all to notice.

Now if someone could just make a video puzzling out a general date range for when Lycaon supposedly lived...darn Ancient Greeks not properly dating their mythology.

Also, completely unrelated, but this wolf has levelled up to 31 as of 3 hours ago (I would've said turned 31, but levelled up sounds way cooler).

Overly sarcastic productions just released a Halloween video on the history of werewolves in folklore, it is interesting to see how they have evolved over time:
